“5 Reasons To Use LinkedIn For Business Marketing” written by Mike Marko.

As a professional who markets their business on social media, you will be faced with different options as to which platform to use.

Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram…you’ve learned that they are all great social media platforms.

But business owners like you should be able to determine the best (and right) platform to utilize… what are the social media platforms that will best optimize your use of time and money. So, to help you, let me ask you this: do you want your audience to be mostly customers and professionals like you?

If your answer to that is yes, then perhaps you should consider using LinkedIn.

But, what makes LinkedIn any different?

Other social media platforms aren’t completely tailored to help promote businesses. Rather, they are best designed to socialize with the community. LinkedIn, on the other hand, completely revolves around business and even employment.

So, why should this difference matter to a business person? Is this difference the only reason why LinkedIn stands out?

From one professional to another, I can guarantee that LinkedIn has a lot to offer. In today’s blog post, I will share with you why you should use LinkedIn for business marketing.

Why Should You Use LinkedIn For Business Marketing?

LinkedIn is now one of the most important tools for businesses. This is because the entire platform is catered to help companies.

Business owners are able to grow their audience and professional network on LinkedIn. As a business person, these are most likely the results that you are looking for.

LinkedIn is also a social media platform. But as I mentioned before, it attracts the attention of professionals and business people.

A lot of successful stories circulate the platform. Other than these, why should you use LinkedIn for business marketing?

1. You Can Create Awareness And Improve Your Reputation

The increasing number of professionals and businesses signing up to LinkedIn can be an asset. This is because this increasing number of users include potential customers or partners.

When using LinkedIn for business marketing, you will need a steadily increasing number of users. This is because a large audience can improve your (or your business’) visibility and credibility.

You can work on your visibility and credibility right away by optimizing your LinkedIn profile. This means you should aim to rank high in Google searches by:

  • Using relevant keywords in your bio and page description
  • Using descriptive wording
  • Filling out all the fields on your company page
  • Including links to your blog whenever you post content

Take note, an impressive LinkedIn business page can go a long way. Not only does it help you reach new people on LinkedIn, but it will also help other users to find you.

Using LinkedIn for business marketing will also help build and improve your reputation. This is because your connections can post reviews about your services or simply see what your business is up to.

LinkedIn’s algorithm will also rank your profile high in the searches if you have a large audience.

The more connections you have, the more people there will be to vouch for your credibility. Another way to broaden your LinkedIn network is getting an influencer’s following approval.

2. You Can Use The Influencer Status To Your Advantage

While growing connections by using LinkedIn for business marketing, you can also connect with influencers. This is because one of the most notable benefits of LinkedIn is the fact that influencers also use LinkedIn for business marketing.

You can find influencers that can be a great addition to your connections. These influencers can boost your visibility and reputation to their followers.

You can also become an influencer yourself by endorsing your knowledge about your line of business. By demonstrating that your solutions might be what people are looking for, customers will likely initiate contact.

In turn, your followers will grow.

Other professionals or businesses may also approach you to help them grow their audience. This can be the start of a mutually benefiting relationship with your connections.

You can use this type of connection to easily share and spread your marketing content.

3. You Can Take Advantage Of Traffic Building

Like most social media platforms, LinkedIn provides a social sharing button so you can share business content.

Sharing your business content on LinkedIn is important as it tells people that they can find valuable and reliable information on your business page.

Another great thing about LinkedIn is that it does not have a filtered feed. This means that your content will always appear on your followers’ feeds regardless of how often they interacted with your previous posts.

So make use of this feature to share educational content. Your content should be something your connections or target audience would find relevant and worth reading and sharing.

This will help you build traffic as you use LinkedIn for business marketing. By using this LinkedIn advantage, you will ensure your visibility to your immediate audience.

However, you should still be mindful of the content you produce.

Since your followers are able to always see your content, it can become obvious to them when you post multiple similar contents. This may push your followers to hide your content from their feed.

Having your content hidden from multiple feeds can damage your visibility and reach statistics. This may also cause your low-reach content to be filtered out.

So better aim for good but not repetitive content that can possibly give you voluntary endorsements and positive testimonials.

4. You Can Receive and Give Endorsements and Testimonials

LinkedIn enables you to exchange endorsements and recommendations with your connections. This exchange can further strengthen your relationship with your connections and develop them into assets.

These recommendations and endorsements will act as second opinions for future connections if you use LinkedIn for business marketing. This means future customers will have legitimate references to encourage them to hire you for your business or use your products.

5. You Can Get Notified When Your Business Gets Noticed

LinkedIn has analytical tools that show you how many times your content has appeared in your followers’ feeds. The number of clicks generated by your posts can also be examined.

Other than that, other users can also mention your business and you will be notified when they do so. Other users can navigate towards your page through other people’s mentions with just one click.

Getting your statistics and additional visibility brought in by other users is important so you can formulate better posts. By studying your statistics, you will be able to see what sort of content works better than the others and what needs improvement.

By using what you have learned, your future posts will most likely generate more reach.
