Simple But Effective Facebook Marketing Tips

“Simple But Effective Facebook Marketing Tips” written by Mike Marko.

If you’re here in search of Facebook marketing tips, you’re probably having some trouble on Facebook. It’s either that or you’re just about to start on it — and feel a little worried.

No need to worry, though. Achieving success on Facebook isn’t that hard.

I know you’ve probably heard things about the tight competition on the network. Some of it’s true but that’s no reason to skip this platform.

In fact, the competition shouldn’t intimidate you at all. You can achieve your business goals on this platform even if your brand is a young one.

It all comes down to being sensible about your marketing and learning to use Facebook properly. To help you with that, I’ll give you Facebook marketing tips in this blog post.

Facebook Marketing Tips That Work

The nice thing about Facebook is that it’s fairly friendly to marketing beginners. That means a lot of the best practices for it aren’t only easy to do but also to think up.

It’s why the Facebook marketing tips below seem so simple. Don’t underestimate their import, though. Simplicity doesn’t translate to inefficacy.

Doing these seemingly basic things can do a lot for your Facebook marketing strategy. That’s why you should keep them in mind when promoting your brand on the network.

Make the Best Facebook Page Possible

The first of my Facebook marketing tips is meant to help you stand out.

There are lots of other businesses on this social network. Making the best Facebook page for your business can help you stand out among them.

Your Facebook page will represent your brand. Making it interesting and interactive will help attract your target audience.

But what kind of Facebook page should it be? A lot of people ask me this because they want to know if they can use their personal accounts/pages for business marketing.

I’ll give you another of my Facebook marketing tips as an answer: always use a company page for Facebook marketing.

Never use your personal Facebook account to market your business. A personal Facebook profile isn’t made for marketing.

It doesn’t have features that you’ll need to properly promote your business… and it could confuse your brand’s image.

That’s why you should create a Facebook business page if you still don’t have one. Don’t know how? Let me walk you through it quickly as part of my Facebook marketing tips.

Go to facebook.com/business and click “Create a Page” in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

Fill in the necessary information. Follow the instructions on your screen.

After creating your page, make sure to add all the important details about your business. Add your opening and closing hours, your store’s address, and your website address.

Also, list your products and services in the About section of your page. This makes it easier for people to figure out what you can offer.

Why go through the trouble of providing all this data? Here’s another of my Facebook marketing tips: consumers like filled-out company pages.

People prefer to do business with Facebook pages with complete information. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why.

The more they know about a company, the more they feel they can trust it. That makes it easier for them to buy.

Make Use of Messenger Bots

The next of my Facebook marketing tips is about making your life easier.

Facebook allows you to set an automated message using a messenger bot. This can be triggered if one of your potential customers sends you a message.

This is useful in many ways. You set it up to do the following even when you’re offline:

  • Get customers’ orders.
  • Give customers information.
  • Thank people for leaving messages.

This one of my Facebook marketing tips isn’t just about convenience for you either. It’s also about convenience for the customer.

People who surf the Internet have a short attention span and very little patience. Giving them information as soon as they request it can persuade them to stay on your page.

If they get interested in your products, it’s also more likely that they’ll buy from you immediately. But if you have a long purchase process, there’s a chance they’ll look for another company.

That said, here’s one of my related Facebook marketing tips: be careful in using automated messages. Overusing automation can backfire.

Many people also send messages on a Facebook page to get help. If you’re using an automated message, there’s a chance that it may annoy your potential customer.

Some people don’t like talking to a robot. Keep a balance, get in touch with your potential customers on a personal level. Don’t automate everything — only the things where automation would make sense.

Post Content Regularly

The next of my Facebook marketing tips is about being active.

You should regularly post content on your Facebook page. The content you post will give a Facebook user a reason to Like your page.

There are different ways to get new content on your Facebook page. Reposting is one of them. However, don’t settle for just reposting relevant material from influencers and authorities.

Here’s one more of my key Facebook marketing tips: post original content often.

Doing this will differentiate your brand from your competitors. Also, it will give your brand a genuine voice as well as personality.

If you don’t have an idea of what to post, just check your niche. I often include this type of topic research in my Facebook marketing tips. Basically, check which posts get the most traction in your field.

Choose the most appropriate subject for your audience. Make sure that it has value. People usually follow Facebook pages that post interesting, useful, or informative content.

With that in mind, make use of the different types of content on Facebook such as:

  • Plain text status,
  • Images,
  • Videos,
  • Live video, and
  • Facebook stories.

Use each type of content strategically. Find ways to keep people talking about your business using it.

Your content should get engagement because it’s the key to your success. Engagement can boost your presence, credibility, and even sales.

Every now and then, create fun or interesting posts that will engage your target audience. Also, always post at a time when most of your target audience is active.

In fact, that’s another of my Facebook marketing tips. Learn when your target audience tends to be on the network. If you do, you can post at a time when your content has a better chance of getting engagement.

Use Facebook Ads Properly

You should use Facebook ads properly. It’s one of the most important Facebook marketing tips I can give you.

Do you know why?

That’s because getting followers for a Facebook page can take a lot of time. This is a common problem, especially if it’s newly-created or the brand isn’t yet popular.

Posting ads can easily solve this problem.

Facebook ads can dramatically increase your reach on the network. That’s why the way you use Facebook ads is one of the deciding factors of your success.

Having said that, let’s get to another of my Facebook marketing tips. Make sure that your Facebook ads are aimed at your target audience.

This will improve your chances of getting audience engagement. Facebook lets you choose a specific audience for your advertising. You can choose an audience based on age, gender, location, or interest.

Making the most of these demographic targeting options can help you get your money’s worth. Sending ads to the wrong audience will just be a waste of resources.

That’s since they’re not likely to take the actions you want. They might not even be interested in your business!
