How to Podcast

Learn How to Create a PodCast | How to PodCast” written by Mike Marko.

If you are an online marketer, have you ever considered creating a podcast?

As a blogger, if you’re not taking advantage of the power of podcasting, you could be missing out on a large opportunity…

This is especially true if you are using attraction marketing to grow your business.

I was recently talking to Mike about a blog post I was writing.  It was about the The American Civil War, a subject I am very passionate about.  I was recounting a story about Stonewall Jackson and his perseverance; how he overcame great obstacles to achieve his fame and success as a Confederate Civil War general.

Mike suggested that I should record a part of my blog as a podcast so that my readers could hear the passion in my voice when I spoke about the subject… a topic I have loved for many years.

That discussion led to a hangout we had that same week where we talked about how to create and use podcasts.

How to Podcast – The Power of Podcast

Podcasting is an easy, powerful tool for communicating with your audience, especially if you’re interested in creating a strong online presence.

Here why:

It’s easy!  All you need is a microphone and editing software like Audacity. It’s a few easy steps from start to finish and before you know it you have a podcast on Itunes.

Why Create Podcasts?

Podcasting is a great alternative to video for connecting with your audience. Sometimes you just don’t feel like shooting a video, but want more of a connection than just blogging alone. Podcasting is a great alternative. The passion in your voice about your subject will come through the audio, and you don’t have to worry about doing your hair or changing your clothes.

People listen on the go, especially in their car. You have a wide untapped audience base.

It has been shown that 70% of podcasts are hosted by men.  This means that women have a huge opportunity for taking advance of podcasts.

Audacity is a free and easy-to-use audio editor and also records.  It can be used in Windows, the Mac OS X, GNU/Linux, and other operating systems.  Mike and I use it to record and edit our podcasts.

Final Words About PodCasting

As we talked about in the video, podcasting is a powerful way to create content, and there is still relatively little competition compared to other media.  If you really want to get your message out there, and put your voice directly into the ears of your audience, then you need to consider creating podcasts.
