How to Achieve Goals

How to Achieve Goals.

Is your thinking upside down when it comes to accomplishing your goals?

Goal setting can be narrowed down to a three-step process.  Take the time to do step one and step two becomes a piece of cake and then you’re well on your way to step three.   Let me explain how to achieve goals:

Step One

It starts with a burning desire. This is the stage where you think about your goal  consciously, problem solve and gather all the information you can on the subject, consider all the possible courses of action and see the desired end result through visualization. Sounds like work, right? It is!

This is an active stage. It’s where you do the work to hone in on exactly what you want and why.

Get a clear mental picture.

Step Two

Step two is the opposite of step one. This is where you get to relax and stop conscious thought.

This is a passive stage. This is where you give up the feeling of being responsible for the outcome; know that the universe has heard your request and that 99% of it is happening under the surface where you can’t see the results yet. Be indifferent to how it will happen.

Abandon effort.

Any additional worry, or struggle will only hold back results.

How to Achieve Goals – Starting With Steps One And Two

The trick is to get good at doing step one, know that this is where you need conscious effort, devote the time and effort to researching your ideal outcome and get a clear picture of what you are wanting and why. If you take the time to be meticulous in step one, step two is easy. You won’t second guess your decision. Thinking shoulda, woulda, coulda only leads to anxiety and worry, but if you do step one to the best of your ability (planning) then step two ( relaxation) is a natural outcome of that. Take the time and put for the effort to make a decision in step one and then relax in step two

Rest in the fact that you’ve thought it through.

Napoleon Hill said this about decisions. “Those who reach decisions promptly and definitely, know what they want, and generally get it.”

So the difference between step one and step two again are:

Which leads us to step three in how to achieve goals:

Step Three

Take inspired action. When you are relaxed in step two, ideas will come in when you least expect it. Like when you ‘re doing things that keeps your mind alert but relaxed; like driving or washing dishes. When an inspired thought comes to you, don’t hesitate to take action.

You may still slip into anxiety or worry…

Even if you complete step one to the best of your ability, you still may occasionally struggle with worry and anxiety, try saying these affirmations over and over in your mind every time a worrisome thought enters your mind.

For Relationships – Love surrounds me everyday in every way.

For Finances – I dwell in the midst of infinite abundance.

For Health –  My body is healthy, I am wealthy and my mind is wise.
