Sign up for an Account

You have to sign up or log in to your personal account. You can’t have a Facebook page if you don’t have your own Facebook account.

Facebook requires every page to have an administrator who can manage the business profile and assign roles to other admins or contributors. This is only possible through tying the admin’s personal account to the business page.

After you logged in your account, you can start now start creating your Facebook business profile and choose the “Business or Brand” tab on the right side of your screen and click “get started.

Next thing you’ll do is to select a category to describe your page. This will help you to reach your target market easily.

The next page will ask you to add further information about your business. Such as your business address and contact details.

Make sure to fill out all the necessary information, this will help your audience to know more about your brand.

Add Pictures to Your Page

After filling out your business details, the next step will require you to upload pictures. The pictures will be used as your page’s profile picture and cover photo.

Make sure to use high-quality images. Remember, when your audience search for your business, the first thing they’ll see is your photo. So make a good first visual impression.

Keep in mind that your profile picture and cover photo should be easily identifiable with your business. Using pictures that are relevant to your brand makes your Facebook page recognized by your customers.

For your cover photo, use a picture that shows your products or your physical store. You can also use the cover photo for your promotional advertisements or discount so your audience can easily see your latest events when they visit your page.

A cover photo is viewed differently on handheld devices and desktops. So, to help you pick the right picture for your cover photo, take a look at the following:

  • Your cover photo must be at least 400 pixels wide and 150 tall.
  • Cover photos will display at 820 x 312 pixels on a desktop or 640 x 360 pixels on mobile.
