I know the feeling because I also went through that, as I always check on my account I get frustrated because I seldom get visits on my profile.

But that experience gave me an idea of what I was doing wrong, or rather – what I DID wrong.

I left gaps on my LinkedIn page… I didn’t give a fuss and I thought there was no need to go on about trivial details.

But I was wrong!

It provides your business the opportunity to showcase your business.

You can spread the word about your business with all the features you can find in a LinkedIn page.

It can help you get found on search results easier since search engines are crawling company pages.

But let’s not forget about how it’s useful to B2B marketers because it’s what LinkedIn is known for. That’s because this platform is made specifically for professionals.

Encountering business-minded individuals on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram might be rare, but with LinkedIn, it’s easier to get your target market!

But aside from being the most preferred social media platform for B2B marketing, LinkedIn is also the best platform to find job candidates that can significantly contribute to your success.

Creating a Company Page on LinkedIn

LinkedIn has several requirements for people looking to create LinkedIn page.

They want to keep their platform full of professional-looking and legit company pages so it’s admissible if LinkedIn is very strict regarding business pages.

Same as any other social media platforms, you can’t create a company page on LinkedIn without a personal account, so you should sign up first.

After you made your account, you still won’t be able to create a company page. LinkedIn requires a personal account that’s at least seven days old and has an intermediate or all-star rating.

To get an intermediate or all-star rating, you need to fill in the information such as your company’s name, years of experience, education, schools attended, skills and a photo of your face as a profile picture.

Also, you should use your company’s email address when creating an account or company page. You can’t create a company page using domains like, because it’s common.

Steps to Create a Company Page

After meeting the requirements to create LinkedIn page, follow these steps in creating a company page:

Click the Work icon on the upper right corner of your screen.

Click + Create Company page.

Input your desired company name and URL (

Check the verification box and click Create company page.

When you’re choosing a company name, don’t worry about having a similar name with other LinkedIn pages.

However, you must choose a unique and easy-to-remember URL so your existing customers know that the page is affiliated with your brand.

Polish Your Company Page

Creating a company page is the easiest part.  But polishing your company page is where it becomes hard, but with my guidance, it shouldn’t be a problem for you!

Fill in the Information about Your Business

The first thing you need to do is to make sure you add all the necessary information about your business.

Your company page should display all the vital information about your business to the users because they won’t spend their valuable time looking for that information anywhere else.

Users prefer company pages that look professional and legitimate and completing the information is the first step to make it look like so!

Adding the Appropriate Pictures

Along with the information about your business, your company page should also contain the necessary or appropriate images.

With that being said, always use your company logo as the display picture. Doing this will not only make your page look professional, but it can also increase your visibility on this platform.

This happens when your employees put your company logo on their profiles, users that check your employees’ account will see your company’s logo as well.

But before you upload your company logo, resize it to 100×60 pixels so it’ll appear on your page properly.

For your page’s background photo, consider using an attractive image.

You can use your company’s slogan as your background photo but you can also use BTS (Behind the scenes), and your products’ pictures. This is one way to tell your users what your business does.

Use SEO in Your Page

Don’t forget to use SEO or search engine optimization to your company page. This will increase your page’s visibility on the internet.

SEO involves the use of keywords. So your company page should include keywords that are related to your business, products, services, or industry.

Use keywords in the description or summary of your company. Also, you can add keywords to the content that you’re going to publish on your company page.

Since search engines crawl company pages, doing this allows your content or LinkedIn page to appear on search engine results.

Since I already mentioned SEO, it will be wrong not to talk about the other way to reach your audience after you create LinkedIn page.

Reaching Your Target Audience

Posting content is an effective and easy way to reach your target audience.

Since people like reading interesting posts that they see on their newsfeed, posting content can help you get the attention of your target audience.

Use eye-catching photos and exciting titles to your content so your target audience will be tempted to read it.

To make sure your content gets the attention of your target audience, it should be about or related to your business and industry.

And to do this, check the latest news or trends in your niche and base your content to the recent events in your industry or business.

But unlike Facebook, Twitter or other social media platforms, posting interesting content is not enough. Since LinkedIn is the hangout of professionals, your content should be full of information and useful.
