My 2016 Top Three IPhone and Android Apps for Peace and Relaxation

“My 2016 Top Three IPhone and Android Apps for Peace and Relaxation” written by Guest Contributor.

There are so many health benefits to meditation including stress reduction, better sleep, and better health, but I struggle with committing to a daily practice. So I decided to make it easier to commit by using a phone app. Phone apps for meditation offer a variety of functions.

  • You can time yourself to a peaceful track of music or nature sounds or if you prefer, no sound at all.
  • You can track your progress and many have guided meditations for relaxation, sleep and brain entrainment.

I’ve been using these apps for a few months now with great results in staying committed to a regular meditation practice. The guided meditations are by experienced teachers in self-development and well worth checking out.

Here is information on my top three recommendations for a phone app for meditation.

With Omvana, you get several free guided meditations by famous authors, teachers, and spiritual celebrities like (my favorite) the 6-phase meditation by Mind Valley founder and CEO  Vishen Lakhiani and a track by Gabrielle Bernstein.

It’s extensive library has hundreds of tracks with music and poetry for relaxation and sleep. You can purchase with prices ranging from $3.99-$5.99.
